Biography

I am a deeply talented, yet surprisingly modest, freelance writer and editor.

I have broad experience having written on everything from Arnold Schwarzenegger's boyhood gym in Graz to privatisation of the British nuclear industry.

As a news journalist I have written for a number of specialist trade magazines and covered travel, retail and energy. I have worked in Australia, the UK and Germany.

I have worked as a senior media officer within a busy Australian federal government department. During this time I dealt with highly political and sensitive press enquiries and worked closely with senior executives to develop media statements and national campaigns.

I also have commercial writing experience. As the in-house writer for a marketing and graphic design agency I wrote advertising copy, campaign material, newsletters, speeches and websites. I worked closely with graphic designers and developed a good understanding of the production process for both print and electronic publications.

Importantly, I work collaboratively with my clients to make sure I understand, and deliver, what they want.

I have a BA with Honours in Australian Literature from the University of Sydney and a Postgraduate Certificate in Editing from Macquarie University.
